Safety Start Switch
This is a push button switch actuated by the clutch pedal. The switch is fitted on the clutch housing in front of the clutch pedal on tractors with L cab or without cab and on a bracket under the instrument panel on tractors with XL cab. Voltage supply is from the key switch in the No. 3 (start) position. When the clutch pedal is up, the switch has an open circuit. Pushing the clutch pedal down, moves the actuating plunger into the switch. In this position, the switch closes to permit voltage flow to the start circuit in the starter motor.
Stop Lamp Switch
This is a push button switch actuated by the left hand brake pedal. The switch is fitted on the clutch housing in front of the brake pedals on tractors with L cab and on a brackets under the instrument panel on tractors with XL cab. Voltage supply is from the key switch through a 35 amp fuse for tractors with L cab and a 25 amp fuse for tractors with XL cab. When the left hand brake pedal is up, the switch has an open circuit. Pushing the brake pedal down, permits the actuating plunger to move out from the switch. In this position, the switch closes and directs voltage supply to the brake lamps. The brake lamp switch will not operate when the key switch is in the OFF position.
