This section explains the structure and function of each component. It serves not only to give an understanding of the structure, but also serves as reference material for troubleshooting.

DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY KOMATSU Excavator

This section explains the order to be followed when removing, installing, disassembling or assembling each component, as well as precautions to be taken for these operations.

Measure the engine oil pressure under the following conditions.
Coolant temperature: Within operating range

1. Remove oil low-pressure switch (1) or oil high-pressure switch (2).
After removing the switch, wind the wiring harness with tape to prevent it from contacting the cylinder block.

2. Install nipple q of oil pressure gauge C2, then connect to the oil pressure gauge.

3. Start the engine and measure the oil pressure with the engine at low idling and high idling.

4. After completing the measurement, remove the measuring equipment and set to the original condition.

Oil pressure switch : 2.9 5.9 Nm {0.3 0.6 kgm}
